Last week, we caught the tail end of the impressive exhibition, RAW BEAUTY: Bradley Theodore and Antoine Verglas, down at ACA Galleries on 529 West 20th Street.  On the fifth floor of a warehouse in Chelsea, the historic gallery seemed like a best kept secret.  Stepping out of the massive elevator doors, opening right into the space, color hit you right in the face as the pieces immediately captured your fullest attention.  

Bradley Theodore has always wanted his work to be seen by all, thus his brightly painted iconic faces scatter the streets of many international cities, include our own.  Some of his most famous designs highlight the fashion icons, Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld, and Kate Moss to name a few. Take a stroll through the Lower East Side or Little Italy and you'll be sure to spot some of Theodore's recognizable style.  Featured alongside Theodore, internationally acclaimed photographer, Antoine Verglas, has captured iconic photos of famous celebrities and supermodels galore throughout his career, including Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, plus hundreds more.  Here in RAW BEAUTY, both Theodore and Verglas display their individual work, but collaborate their talents in a series of breathtaking portraits that come to life, dancing through the space.  Theodore hand painted a group of models with an abundance of bold color, while Verglas captured the models movements and poses.  It's beautiful to see the fusion of their creative minds merge in such remarkable photographs.  Check out some of our shots below to get just a taste of the exhibition – enjoy!
